Question :- write a monomial of degree 43 and a binomial of degree 100 ?

Solution :-

Monomial :-

  • An algebraic expression consisting of one term..
  • Ex :- 3x , 7xy , x³y⁶z² .

Binomial :-

  • An algebraic expression consisting of two term..
  • Ex :- 3x + 4y , 2xy + 5z , x³ + y⁶ .

Degree :-

  • Highest or the greatest power of a variable in a polynomial equation.
  • Degree of term with more than one variable is the sum of the exponents.

So,

→ A monomial of degree 43 = 5x⁴³ , x²⁰*y¹⁵*z⁸ (20 + 15 + 8 = 43.)

→ A binomial of degree 100 = 3x¹⁰⁰ + y⁹⁵ .
