One day I heard noises coming from the bathroom. I live alone so could not be a family member or a roommate and that day I had no guest. Thinking it was a thief, I took a hammer out of my warehouse and approached me cautiously. When I got to the bathroom door I shouted to go away but I did not receive any answer and the noise persisted. Tired of shouting when I opened the door I prepared myself with the hammer but with surprise I had found a mouse in search of food. Fortunately, he was not a thief, so I took the mouse and released it from the house.

AN UNEXPECTED VISITOR

On a beautiful Sunday evening, I was preparing myself a sandwich in my home. I was alone since everybody else was out. My mother was at the cooking competition who always wants to win something, My father was at work since he shifted to the night shift and My brother was at college studying economics.

I sat down in the dining room and was about to start my tea when the doorbell rang. I looked out and could see a hooded figure. Normally, I wouldn't be scared because my brother likes to surprise me. But, today I precisely remember that no one was wearing a hooded shirt and all of them left just 15 minutes ago. My heart started thumping as I went to open the door. I gently slipped my hand on the door handle and slowly pulled it. What I saw was just an innocent boy who was lost. I was relieved yet concerned for the boy. I realized I was just staring at him and asked him to get inside.

We conversed about what happened to him and he told me that he and his family were visiting here for the holidays. Yesterday, He accidentally boarded on the wrong bus and left at the next stop. He was waiting for another bus when a security guard near him said that the bus he left was the last bus of the day. The man took the boy to his house and sheltered him. The next afternoon, the boy went out of the house politely refusing the man's decision to drop him. When he went a bit far, taking many turns, he realized he was lost. So, he went to the nearest house he could find which was mine.

I asked for his parents' number and decided to call them and give them my address. They came as fast as they could and thanked me for calling. When my family reached back home, I narrated the whole story to them.
