According to Newton's first law of motion an object in rest always remain in rest, in motion always remain in motion, always moving in its original direction with its constant speed until an external unbalanced force acts upon it.

FOR EXAMPLE -

If we throw a ball with velocity of 3 m/s in east direction will always moving with velocity of 3 m/s

in east direction until no other force acts upon it.
