Nick Vujicic is a true athlete . He plays football , he swims , he surfs and plays golf- all without the use of arms or legs .
The 26-year-old was born with no limbs ; the result of the rare disorder called phocomelia . He has one small foot that he relies on to do most everything : type. kick , balance and write with a pen .

His incredible balance enables him to move around quickly , though he does rely on a wheelchair for a fair amount of transportation . Today , as well as being a sports fanatic , Australian-born Vujicic travels the world as a motivational speaker . He has been to 24 countries speaking to crowds of over 100,000 people .
He wasn't always the happy-go-lucky , active man he is today . His father , upon seeing his newborn son , had to leave the room to vomit and his mother refused to hold him until he was 4 months old . At 10 years old Vujicic tried to drown himself in the tub .
