Bus Accident in Shimla, 10 Killed
5th April 2020, Chamba:- A horrifying bus accident took place yesterday afternoon at the heart of Koti village. The accident led to 10 deaths, and 25 passengers got injured. According to the survivors, the private bus was on its way to the market place via a narrow passage around the hills. As the driver was about to take a left turn, the bus skidded and fell down the gorge. The bus crashed on the forest down the hills, and some coniferous trees have impaled through the bus as well. This is the third accident of this sort; the two others happened in the northern districts of Shimla - a mini truck had skidded down a slope, while the second accident occurred to a pickup van losing its balance from a steep hill. The opposition party leaders and youth activists have blamed the State Minister of Transport and Public Welfare for looking into these matters. The government, however, has declared on their website last night that they will provide relief to the survivors of the bus accident, and pay reparations to the families of the deceased. The Chief Minister will be meeting with the Cabinet Ministers today evening to discuss about the same.
