A really daring burglary occurred in a flat at salt lake in kolkata. it is a small flat where an old man with his family lives.it was about 11 in the morning. the old man also alone in the flat as all the other members had gone either to office or to school. the door bell rang.

Kolkata, Aug 29 : A daring burglary occurred in a flat at Garia, Kolkata today. The incident took place around 11:30 am when all the residents of the flat except a septuagenarian man went either to office or school. Mr. Das, the old and sickly member of the family unlocked the door of his flat expecting the maid to arrive. To his surprise four burglars with fire-arms made their forced entry and silenced him at the point of gun. They ransacked the rooms, broke and open the almirah and decamped with gold ornaments and cash worth rupees 8 lakhs. The miscreants took almost fifteen minutes to execute their plan. After their departure, the old man recovered himself and called his neighbours and the police. A search operation has already been started. The police have found no trace of the gang yet.
