Most cactus grow slowly , they sprout to the size of marble after 6-12 Months and few centimetres height after 2-3 years , depending upon the type of cactus. after that cactus grow 1 to 3 centimeters height for a year.

There are also some other species which can grow 15 centimetres height for a year.
