These greek coins were at the origin of Indian punch-marked coins they were developed in india which used minting technology derived from greek coinage. Shaikhan Deri hoard in Pushkalavati have revealed many Achaeimenid coins as well as greek coins from the 4th and 5th century BCE they were also being circulated in the area.
