Answer:

Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the First Guru and founder of Sikhism. He was born in a poor family in the Punjab province on 15th April 1469. He was a bright child and outsmarted every kid in his school with his intelligence. His way of seeing the world was unique and innovative. At a very young age, he used to write hymns and musical poetry related to peace and spirituality.

When he grew younger, he used to work as a storekeeper. He gave all his earnings to the needy and kept a very small amount for himself. One day, he went to the Kalibai River for a bath. It was then God instructed him to become the preacher of peace, love, unity, and fraternity. He became a saint and started spreading love and peace in his words.

All his teachings and hymns are written in Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikhism. He died at an age of 70 years in 1539. His disciples did not find a body but rather discovered a pile of flowers. His words still find relevance in this modern world.
