I think u r talking about the frog in the poem " the frog and the Nightingale ".

It is a beautiful and a sad poem. The frog in this poem is greedy, bad, manipulative, rude and cruel. He lied to the Nightingale about being a good singer. He killed the innocent bird. He was very rude to her and made her practice in harsh and cold conditions which resulted in the vein burst of the Nightingale. The frog was a very bad and disturbed every other creature of the bog. He sings very bad and does not accept the reality.
