Answer:

1)Lactation describes the secretion of milk from the mammary glands and the period of time that a mother lactates to feed her young. The process naturally occurs with all post-pregnancy female mammals, although it predates mammals. In humans the process of feeding milk is also called breastfeeding or nursing.

2)Gemmules are internal buds found in sponges and are involved in asexual reproduction. It is an asexually reproduced mass of cells, that is capable of developing into a new organism i.e., an adult sponge.

3)Ovaries of cockroach are located in the abdominal segments 2 to 6. Each ovary consists of eight ovarioles. Two oviducts from each side open into a common oviduct or vagina which open into genital chamber. A pair of collaterial glands also open in genital chamber.

Explanation:

1)Lactation, secretion and yielding of milk by females after giving birth. The milk is produced by the mammary glands, which are contained within the breasts. The breasts, unlike most of the other organs, continue to increase in size after childbirth.

2)a tough-coated dormant cluster of embryonic cells produced by a freshwater sponge for development in more favourable conditions.

3)The female reproductive system of cockroach consists of two large ovaries. The ovaries lie laterally in the 12th and 13th segments. Each ovary is formed of a group of eight ovarian tubules or ovarioles. They contain a chain of developing ova.
