a) Oriya novel - 1877-78, Ramashankar Ray, a playwright First Oriya began to sort the novel Soudamani. But he could not complete it. However, within thirty years, Orissa built a major novelist in the Fakir Mohan Senapati (1843-19 18).
b) Jane Austen’s portrayal of women- At the beginning of the nineteenth century, Austen portrayed the lives of women in rural communities. Their novels identify social norms, which had to be followed by women - mainly, their duty was to marry rich husbands who could provide financial and social security to them. In the novels of Jane Austen, women are not always shown in line with social conference. c) Pariksha-Guru portrays- It is also known as test-master novel that illustrates the difficulties of the new middle class in adapting to the colonial society while preserving its cultural identity.
