Explanation:

Ajay Garg, Jaipur based resident, is a deaf and mute artist, who has overcome his physical inability and emerged as a specialist in miniature art. At age three, Ajay had an injection for treating an injury that reacted adversely which caused him to lose his ability to speak and hear. Yet, Ajay accepted this setback gracefully. He channeled his boundless energy and emerged from a shadow of silence as he began to speak through his paintings. At age five, his talent was recognized by Shri Sualal, an artist at the Royal Court of Dholpur, Rajasthan. He took Ajay under his tutelage, convincing his parents about his capabilities. At age ten, Ajay could paint like a virtuoso. He turned his handicap into a tremendous focus and internal vision for his paintings. At age fourteen, he worked with Asha Devi who introduced him to the art of miniature painting. The paintings had exquisite details, much of which were completed with a single-hair brush, magnifying lens, and a steady hand. Ajay has also specialized himself to paint these fine details on grains of rice and almonds. At twenty one, the world famous artist Shri K.K. Hebbar said "Ajay has magic in his fingers". In 2004, Ajay also received the National Award from President Dr. A. P. J. Kalaam.
