The generally accepted parts of modern cell theory include: All known living things are made up of one or more cells. All living cells arise from pre-existing cells by division. The cellis the fundamental unit of structure and function in all living organisms

Cell theory states three major points
The cell is the smallest unit of structure of all living things.
The cell is the unit of function of all living things.
All cells arise from pre-existing cells.

This theory was given by Matthias Schleiden(Botanist), Theodor Schwann(Zoologist) and Rudolph Virchow.
