Coal is the most abundantly fossil fuel which is being used as a demotic fuel , know insdustries such examples as iron, steel... Steam engines are to engage electricity and coal is called "Thermal power".

Que : What is coal ?

Ans : Coal is a fossil fuel. It is a carbon riched material. It is found in solid form. It is a non-renewable source of energy because making of coal takes million of years. It is a combustible substance.

Formation of coal :

Millions of year ago forest get buried into the soil. After time to time a layer start depositing on it. when it get inside heat and pressure starts increasing. Due to this heat and pressure chemical process take place and Coal is formed.

Types of Coal :

There are four types of coal

1. lignite
2. Bituminous
3. Sub-Bituminous
4. Anthracite
