• Nowadays, democracy, especially the representative form of Democracy, is the most prevalent form of government.
• It is popular as it is better than autocracy, dictatorship, etc. It is a form of government where peoples' words are considered supreme.
• It has several advantages. It increases the dignity of the people, helps to increase a good decision making capacity, it is a more accountable form of government, it provides a method to deal with differences and conflicts, etc. Moreover, it helps us to correct our own mistakes.
• It is a government, where, free and fair elections are occured, UAF is followed, rule of law and respect for rights, etc.
• But, it has also some defects. Like, leaders keep changing, political competition, power play, money, muscle power, corruption, etc.
