Equlity of opportunity is a political ideal that is oppose to caste system .The background assumption is that a society contains a hierarchy of more and less desirable positions. Or there may be several such hirachies .In a caste society the assignment of individuals to places in a social hirachies is fixed by birth .The child acquires a support of his or her parents. In contrast when Equlity of opportunity prevails the assignment of individuals to the places in a social hirachies.

Equality of opportunity is the right that everyone citizen of a country wants . Discrimination based on gender is still a serious problem . Equality of opportunity influences men and women to have equal opportunities in different fields . By giving men and women equal rights will reduce Gender discrimination . Government of India now have made plans to encourage women to participate equally like men , which will improve the personality of India internally as well as externally .
