Guru Nanak was a great mystic saint. He preached against untouchability and worked towards the equality. He established a langar, or a community kitchen where different people from different communities can share food and cook. His teachings were based on the three statements below-
1. Chant God's true name- Satnam Vahiguru
2. Be honest
3. Share with others.
His teachings formed another religion called Sikhism and later absorbed into the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of the Sikhs.

Hope this helps!
