Ibadat Khana the literal meaning of which is the of worship. This worship house was built by Akbar at Fatehpur Sikri as a meeting house of spiritual leaders. The purpose of building Ibadat Khana was to discuss the teachings of respective religious leaders.

In the early 1980s under KK Muhammad's guidance, excavation of the mound took place which led to the discovery of steps platforms and boundary walls which were found similar to the painting of the Khana from Akbar reign.
