mahatma gandhi and BR ambedkar played an important role in removing untouchability . br ambedhkar himself was an untouchable from childhood on wards he struggled to give importance to untouchables during the rule of britishers .ambedhkar brought the issue to round table conference.mahatma gandhi also cleaned toilets to make the work of sweepers more dignified mahatma gandhi himself led a satyagraha solely for untouchables to let them enter temples ,public wells etc.he even said that india cannot gain swaraj until untouchability is abolished

He conducted Mahad and Kalaram movements.

He participated in all the three rounds table conferences and suggested various measures for the development of untouchables.

In this way he arrives to get justice for untouchables ...
