Floral induction which is also referred as the floral initiation is referred to a psychological process where the plant grows via the apical meristem. It is defined as the first stage of the flowing plants where the plant grows via the apical meristem in length or base width. This is a psychological process on the plant when the plant is grown. It occurrs a particular time period like the olive occur during the summer only.

Morphological changes:

  • Meristematic tissue are those which are actively associated with the growth of the plant. Now, the meristematic tissue first change in the shape.
  • There is increased growth of plastochromes and other appendages.
  • This is followed by the growth of axillary meristem.
  • The growth mainly takes place in the internodes.
  • The apex of the plant was earlier Vegetative but now it got changed into the reproductive apex.
  • There is increase in division of each cells at the meristematic.
