Nana Saheb

Nana Saheb, born as Dhondu Pant, was an Indian Peshwa of the Maratha empire, aristocrat and fighter, who led the rebellion in Cawnpore during the 1857 uprising.

Nana Saheb, the adopted son of Peshwa Baji Rao II, pleaded that he be given his father’s pension when the latter died.

Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar

Bahadur Shah Zafar or Bahadur Shah II (Persian: بهادرشاه ظفر‎) (born as Mirza Abu Zafar Siraj-ud-din Muhammad) (24 October 1775 – 7 November 1862) was the last Mughal emperor. He was the second son of and became the successor to his father, Akbar II, upon his death on 28 September 1837.

Birjis Qadr

Birjis Qadr was the Nawab(King) of Awadh from 1857 until 1858. Following the outbreak of the Sepoy Mutiny, Qadr's mother appointed him monarch of the state in 1857 and she became his regent.
