The hemi hydrate form of calcium carbonate is known as plaster of Paris.

The molecular formula of plaster of paris is CaSO4.1/2 H2O.

Uses of plaster of Paris:-

  1. It is used in manufacture of H2SO4.
  2. It is used in making of cement
  3. ity is used in preparation of moulds used in surgery and castings.

the plaster of paris forms through gypsum which has chemical formula CaSo4.2H2O when it was heated at the temperature of 100°C then through 5 molecule of water it become plaster of paris . it is hard solution which comes in use of plastering the factured hand .it makes from CaSO4 .
