plastic is a non biodegradable substance, that is chemically synthesised. it falls in the category of synthetic fibres or man made fibres.
it is a carbon polymer.
plastic is non biodegradable , hence it takes million years to decompose, plus when it is buried , it kills the decomposers present in the soil and makes the soil infertile. promotes soil pollution
plastic has other harmful effect on the environment, when it gets into the drainage , it blocks the drains that results in clotting the dirty water around the area..where diseases can spread due to contamination.
plastic when burnt, produces harmful gases , which are harmful for human health.
