Print culture embodies all forms of printing text and other printed forms of visual communication.the earlist kind of print technology was developed in china.from AD594 onwards books in china was printed vy rubbing paper against the ink surface of woodblocks.as both side of thin porous sheet couldnot be printed.as the demand of books increased, now Europe had come to adopt printing technology and ready to export books to many different countries.a major breakthrough in Europe JohannGutenberg developed the first known printing press in the 1430. by q448 letter press system of printing hadbeen perfected. after this Itly in Europe adopted this technology and it was spread fast to other countries of Europe. the world of printing gradually moving away from handprinting to mechanical printing crossed the various upd and downs,faced many criticisms through society,religious institutions .but spin of wheel ,print material no more remined the monopoly of Europe.it's use spread in all over the part of world to different private users.now reading increasingly became a leisure activity.the book popularised the idea of enlightment thinkers.print created a new culture of dialogue and debates. there was an outpouring of literature that micked the royality and criticised their morality. ifeas of scientists and philosophers became more accessible to common people.now ancient to medivel scientific texts were published.in england libraries became instruments for educating white collor workers,artisans and middle class people. the print revolution contributed to emergence of new type of woman ,determined ,thinker and strong .many author from under pressed society rose and wrote their autobiography and their struggles..the periodical press developed from early 29th century ,contains information about current affairs with entertainment newspaper and journals carried information about works and trade even political issues of countries.reading became passion for common prople also.
