Democracy was restored in Chile when General Augusto Pinochet decided to held a referendum that is the vote by people on an important issue, in which he was confidant that he would win it but the people didn't voted him. By that he lost first his political power and then his millitary power and his government ,the dictatorship in Chile was overthrown.
