Swaraj Party - CR Das, Motilal Nehru and some other Congress members formed the Swaraj Party. They contested other elections in 1923. The swaraj Party members elected to the central legislature obstructed repressive government bills. After the death of CR Das in 1925 , the Swaraj Party faded away.
Cabinet Mission - In March 1946, the cabinet mission was sent to India to start the process of transferring power. It proposed the formation of 389-members constituent assembly to draft the constitution of India and an interim government at the center to carry on day to day administration until the new constitution was implemented.
