Answer:

• The economic development of a country can have many adverse effects on the ecology of the country.

Explanation:

• The economic growth especially ones which are not sustainable development can lead to changes which can effect the ecology and environment in general.

• Development would mean construction of new roads, highways, etc that would cause pollution.

• Increased development would lead to the growth in population which would create an additional burden on the existing natural resources like groundwater.

• The growing population would need more areas to reside, and for this the nearby jungles would be cleared, this would lead to fragmentation of the jungles, and habitat loss which in result will make many animals homeless and they would eventually die.

• The development will also lead to increase consumption of packed foods which would create large amounts of garbage which causes pollution.

• So, in a long run if the development is not sustainable it will adversely affect the environment, which can lead to global warming and climate change.
