With no central government programme for water conservation in place so far and following the distribution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's letters to the gram pradhans of all the panchayats in Rajasthan, the government may either redesign the existing Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan (MJSA) with centre’s assistance or the centre could also launch a new convergence scheme for water conservation.
Special gram sabhas were conducted in all gram panchayats (9,892) of Rajasthan to sensitise the gram pradhans (sarpanch) about water conservation on June 21 and June 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had written a personal letter to gram pradhans (sarpanch) requesting them to conserve rainwater during the forthcoming monsoon.
Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan has been launched in the state of rajasthan for donate water. The Rajasthan government has launched the Mukhyamantri Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan scheme.
