Write a note on the gonds and about their villages.

With a population of around four million, the Gonds are one of the largest tribal groups in the world. They live mainly in Madhya Pradesh and its surrounding states. While the majority of the tribe is dependent on agriculture and daily wages, the community of Patangarh village is an exception.

Gonds are mainly divided into four tribes namely - Raj Gonds, Madia Gonds, Dhurve Gonds, Khatulwar Gonds. Gonds men wear Dhoti, which is the lonf piece of cotton cloth wrapped around the waist passing through the legs. Women wear soft cotton saris along with the Choli or blouse.
