The Indian Constitution has recognised human rights as fundamental rights. Human rights are fundamental rights which every human being is entitled to have. In 1993, the Human Rights Protection Act was passed. The Act led to the establishment of the National Human Rights Commission and the State Human Rights Commission. The Human Rights Commission takes note of the complaints regarding the violation of the human rights and also take appropriate measures regarding such violations.
