The rains bring much-needed relief to farmers and politicians, who feared theeffects of a late monsoon on crops like corn, sugar and rice. ... Consequently, the usually highly predictable monsoonrains are the lifeblood of agriculture throughout the Indian subcontinent. The monsoon has two phases.

The part of Rajasthan were we are living there the effect of monsoon is lesser. So the farmers nearby area doesn't cultivate any of the corps.
But in Punjab, Haryana, U.P. and some parts of state there the effect of monsoon is good enough. So the farmers cultivate their corps easily. Sometimes heavily rain brings flood. Which destroy the corps. And heavily loses.
