write a note on the Indus seals. what do you know about the script? Has it been deciphered or not?​

In spite of many attempts, the 'script' has not yet been deciphered, but efforts are ongoing. There is no known bilingual inscription to help decipher the script, and the script shows no significant changes over time. However, some of the syntax (if that is what it may be termed) varies depending upon location.

These seals were probably used for trade or for rituals. These seals provide us with a lot of information about the life and culture of the Indus Valley people. The discovery of similar kind of seals among the ruins of Mesopotamian cities show that the Indus people had trade links with Mesopotamia.

The Indus Script is the writing system developed by the Indus Valley Civilization and it is the earliest form of writing known in the Indian subcontinent.

Yes it is true the Indus Valley script has been deciphered. I deciphered Indus Valley writing ( IVWS) back in the 1980's, and we can now read the entire corpus of Indus Valley seals.
