》⏩ Arthro-joint ; poda-appendages.
》⏩ They have joined appendages as the name signify.
》⏩ Members of this phylum are mostly insects.
》⏩ More than two-third of all named species on Earth belongs to phylum Arthropoda.
》⏩ They are bilaterally summetrical, tripoblastic (three layered cell), segmented (have segments on the body) and coelomate (have true body cavity) and their body is covered with chitinous exoskeleton.
》⏩ Arthropods have organ level of organisation.
》⏩ Their body consists of head, thorax and abdomen.
》⏩ Respiratory organs like gills, book gills, book lungs and trachea and sensory organs like eye-simple or compund, antennae, statocysts (balance organs) are present. The organ for excretion is called as malpighian tubule.
》⏩ Arthropods are mostly oviparous and so, fertilization is mostly internal.
》⏩ Metamorphosis occurs in some of them like butterflies.
》⏩ Arthropods are mostly dioecious, i.e., the sexes of arthropods are mostly separate.

Arthropoda-friend : $\mathif{Apis}$ (Honey bee), $\mathif{Bombyx}$ (Silk worm), $\mathif{Laccifer}$ (Lac insect).
They are economically very benificial.

Arthropoda-foe : Anopheles, Aedes, Culex.
These mosquitoes are vectors for some of the deadly diseases like malaria, dengue, etc.

Other Examples :
Prawns, Locusts ( $\mathif {Locusta}$ ), Scorpion, King crab, ( $\mathif {Linulus}$ ), etc.
