Sariska is a ’Tiger Reserve Project’ in the Alwar district in Rajasthan. Sariska National Park’s area stretches over 800 sq. kilometres. It is also known for its flora and fauna. In old days it was a hunting area of The Maharaja Alwar. It is known for its collection of Royal Bengal Tigers. From Ranthambore tigers were relocated successfully to this wildlife sanctuary.

In 1955 it was declared as Wildlife Reserve of the state and in 1982 it was declared as National Park. Its wild life, natural beauty attracts the visitors. Other than this the most important attraction is 10th/11th century temples of Garh-Rajor and Nilkanth temple built by Bargujars.  Pandopil is another popular site where Pandavas of Mahabharat had spent a few days in exile.

Thus wild life, arid forests, grasslands, historical temples are the attraction for visitors of Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary.
