A note on upper Indus plain :

• The higher Indus plain consists of 3 subdivisions: the mountain chain piedmont, the doabs,
• And therefore the Sulaiman piedmont (referred to regionally because of the Derajat).
• The mountain chain piedmont, or the sub-Shiwalik zone, could be a slender strip of land wherever the rivers enter into the plain from their mountain stage.
• Thereby giving every a somewhat vessel gradient.
• The zone is characterised by varied rivulets, that have made a broken topography in elements of the zone.
• These streams stay dry except within the time of year, once they swell into gushing streams with respectable erosive power.
