the story begins with an obsession to kill the tiger and while executing this obsession, there is a lot of fun with Mrs.Packletide.She behaves in a childish manner and jealous of Loona.On the other hand, Loona behaves childish like a young girl when she rejects the invitation to the luncheon party.The villagers are also made fun of in the story when they behaved foolishly for money.Miss Mebbin who had supported Mrs.Packletide till the end of the tiger shooting episode, had a sudden change in her behavior.She always think about money and got more than what she expected.In this way, the writer creates humour in the story.
