Since many centuries tribal people live in the forests and treat it as their mother. There are numerous forest products that are useful for tribal people. The following are few forest products that are useful for them.

1) Forests provide the tribals products like honey where tribals could sell them on the market or trade it for other products.

2) Forests provide huge amount of wood in which the tribals use it for making their shelter, use firewood, etc

3) Tribals and villagers clear a small portion of the forests for cultivation. 

4) Forests provide plenty of fruits, vegetables, etc and also meat of animals. Tribals consume these products from the forests for their livelihood and survival.

There are various types of forests present in India. Forestry in India is a significant rural industry and a major environmental resource. India is one of the ten most forest-rich countries of the world. With the presence of forests, there is also the presence of various tribes such as - Gonds Tribes , Bhils Tribes ,Santhal Tribes,Great Andamanese Tribes , Khasi Tribes ,Garo Tribes , Angami Tribes and Munda Tribes. These tribal people have a strong connection and affection towards forests. Their livelihood depends upon the forest products. Such as they use timber for fuels , woods , bamboo , fruits , etc. They treat the forests as GOD. They worship the trees , mountains , rivers , etc. India has many types of forests such as evergreen forests , deciduous forests , etc. India is full of varieties.
