The nomadic tribes of the Sahara desert include Arab Bedouins, Berbers and Tuaregs. Their lifestyle can be categorised as follows-

  • Lifestyle: These tribes practice animal rearing and move with their herds of camels, sheep, horses and goats in search of food and water.
  • Clothing: People wear long, light-coloured loose clothes to beat the heat and to protect themselves from dusty winds
  • Income: These tribes practice agriculture near the oases and river valleys. The discovery of oil has also led to these people migrating to different cities to lead settled lives.
