(1)The gradual continuous increase in average tempreture of surface of the earth as a result of increase in concentration of greenhouse gases is known as GLOBAL WARMING.
(2)The tempreture of the earth has increased by 0.6 degree in last three decades,it will lead tochanges in precipitation patterns.
(3)Increase the level of greenhouse gases (co2,CFCs,No,etc)in the atmosphere. These gases all the heat waves to reach earth but prevent their escape and thus the earth becomes warmer.
(4)The rise in tempreture will lead to the increased melting of polar ice caps which will cause the rise in sea levels and many coastal areas will be submerged.
(5)Increased temperature will lead to increased weed growth, diseases and pests. thus crop productivity will decrease.
EFFECTS:Loss of biodiversity due to habitat destruction.
Increase in carbon dioxide concentration in atmosphere.
Soil erosion that may lead to desertification.
Disturbance hydrologic cycle.
