Given :-

  • Number is less than half of 100 .
  • Greater than 40 .
  • Tens digit is 2 greater than the unit's digit .
  • Sum of digits is 6.

Solution :-

Let us assume that, the required number is (10x + y) .

→ Less than = 100/2 = Less than 50 and greater than 40 .

so,

→ 40 < 10x + y < 50 .

now,

→ x + y = 6

x - y = 2

2x = 8

→ x = 4 .

then,

→ y = 6 - 4 = 2 .

therefore,

→ Required number = 10x + y = 10*4 + 2 = 40 + 2 = 42 (Ans.)

Given : a number   less than half of hundred

greater than 40

tens digit is 2 greater then the unit, s digit

sum of digits is 6

To Find : Number

Solution:

number   less than half of hundred

=> N < 100/2

=> N < 50

greater than 40

=> N > 40

40 < N < 50

Let say N = AB

A = B + 2

A + B = 6

=> B + 2 + B = 6

=> 2B = 4

=> B = 2

Hence A = 4

So number  is 42

Hence number is 42
