of all the places I visited in my holidays, Puri is my most favourite holiday destination. I have been there many times. I think it is the ideal place for visit. Though it is very hot there, but due to the sea we enjoy the cool breeze. It is one of the important holy places in India because of the Jagannath Temple. I like to bathe in the sea. Along with my little brother I spent time splashing in the sea. The waves are very high. Hours spent by splashing water on ourselves and it seems it is just the start of the day. Sometimes we took a ball and played with it in the sea. We also went to the Jagannath Temple. It is a huge temple inside which there are the idols of Jagannath, Balaram and Shubhadra. There are a few monkeys on the outside of the temple near a tree. Whenever I go there I feed them with bananas and groundnuts.

I am very interested in wildlife so my parents promised to take me to the Nandankanan. We went inside and saw many animals. First we saw the Gangetic crocodile or gharial. Then we were taken on a safari. We boarded a little bus and went inside the forest. There were many deer roaming about freely. There were a few peacocks too. The scene I witnessed I can memorize throughout my life. Since it was a cloudy day one peacock spread its wings. It was wonderful. Our guide told us that there might be some tigers or lions inside the jungle. Suddenly what I saw ahead of us rattled my bones. The driver took our bus to a halt. There was a white tiger right in front of the bus! I had never seen a tiger in a safari but my dream was fulfilled by visiting Nandankanan. The big cat roamed about our bus. It roared angrily at us. Our guide informed us that this young tiger weighs only twenty kilos.

Soon after the tiger went back into the forest we started off again. Our bus was taken beside a lion's den. On hearing the noisy engine of the bus came out two ferocious looking disgruntled lions. They were very angry because we had disturbed them. The safari of Nandankanan from Puri was wonderful.

Then we went to Chilka which is famous for dolphins. We sat in a boat and went a far distance into the sea. I have heard that dolphins are human's friends so I also wanted to make friends with them. But unfortunately we couldn't see a dolphin. In Chilka red crabs and prawns are found. This is about all my experience in Puri which I think is the ideal place for all visitors. We plan to go to Puri this year again and we can have lots and lots of fun.

My favourite place is our granny and grandfather’s summer cottage, which is about 12.5 kilometres from our house. It is situated on the way to the famous Bird Sanctuary – Nalsarovar. I just absolutely love this place. It’s definitely different from the typical crowded vacation spots which many people prefer to visit. During vacation we make it a point to visit granny’s cottage for a few days to rejuvenate ourselves. We pack our bags and ask our caretaker at the cottage to prepare everything for our arrival. My sisters, father and mother all enjoy there as a family – cooking, playing, trekking and gardening. We go for picnic at the Nalsarovar and generally spend the entire day watching the birds. Boating around in Nalsarovar, watching the birds and having food on the small islands with the local natives is our favourite pastime.

We have a wonderful spacious living area, and two bedrooms, a kitchen with a dining area. The windows of the rooms open up to the big green garden and a small pond, looking out always soothes the eyes. The water in the pond is so blue and the atmosphere is so calm. The place is famous for it’s beautiful scenery and peace. The best time to reach there is just before Sunrise as the lake is calm and quiet and flock of birds waiting for their regular food. The water in the lake is only about 4 feet deep and the boatmen are quite friendly guides. The vast lake comprises several places of interest. You might just find the original Gujarati Food in its simplest form and yet so yummy.

So far 225 types of birds are recorded in Nal Sarovar area. 140 of them are water-birds and 70 of them are migratory. Some of the species are Flamingo, Pelican Egret, Heron, Ducks, Cormorant, Crane etc. On the weekends, it is one of the busiest tourist attraction spots of Ahmedabad. Hundreds of people throng this place. To relieve your stress level, it is one of the best weekend getaway. . I am not a party animal -so that’s explains why I prefer this place. I’ve always loved to stay at the cottage, which is quite secluded and has fantastic views. The peace, the scenery, the lush green surroundings are a treat to an exhausted mind. The sound of the wind blowing, the chirping of the birds are music to ears.

Thus,Nalsarovar is my Favourite Holiday destination.

If useful, plz mark as brainliest....

Best Wishes....!!
