Answer:

The pair of integers that gives

(1) a negative integer

Consider a pair of integers 6 and 8, on substractions we get

8 – 6

= -2

It is an example of negative integer.

(2) zero

Consider a pair of integers 9 and 9, on substraction we get

9 – 9

= 0

(3) an integer smaller than both the integers.

Consider a pair of integers 5 and 3, on susstraction we get

5 – 3

= 2

The integer obtained is 2 which is smaller that the given pair of integers.

(4) an integer greater than only one of the integers.

Consider a pair of integer 8 and 1, on substarction we get

8 – 1

= 7

The integer 7 is grater than 1 but smaller than 8.

(5) an integer greater than both the integers.

Consider two integers 5 and -2, on substraction we get

5 – (-2)

5 + 2

= 7

The integer 7 is grater than 5 and -2.
