Given :     A pair of integers whose product is - 12   &   Seven integer lies between them (excluding the given integers)

To find : Pair of integers

Solution:

As 7  integers lies between (excluding the given integers)

so Let say Numbers  are  N  , N + 8

N(N + 8) = - 12

=> N² + 8N + 12 = 0

=> N² + 6N + 2N + 12 = 0

=> N(N + 6) + 2(N + 6) = 0

=> (N + 2)(N + 6) = 0

=> N = - 2 ,   - 6

=> N + 8 = 6 ,  2

Pair  is  ( - 6 , 2)   or (-2 , 6)
