Write a pair of integers whose sum gives
(a) a negative integer (b) zero
(c) an integer smaller than both the integers. (d) an
integer smaller than only one of the integers.
(e) an integer greater than both the integers

Answer-1. a) Pair= -4, -2

⇒(-4)+(-2)

= -4-2

=-6

b) Pair= 2, -2

⇒2+ (-2)

= 2-2

=0

c) Pair= -2, -3

⇒(-2) + (-3)

= -2-3

= -5

d) Pair= -1, 2

⇒(-1)+2

= -3

e) Pair= 2, 4

⇒ 2+4

= 6

2. a) Pair = -4,-2

⇒(-4)-(-2)

= -4+2

= -2

b) Pair = 2,2

⇒2-2

=0

c) Pair = 6, 4

⇒ 6-4

= 2

d) Pair= 10, 7

⇒ 10-7

= 3

e) Pair= -2,-3

⇒ (-2)-(-3)

= -2 + 3

= 1

first part : sum

(a) 5 + (-8) = (-3) negative value

(b) 5 + (-5) = 0 zero

(c) (-5) + (-8) = (-13) lesser than both -5 and -8

(d) 5 +(-3) = (-2) larger than -3 only

(e) 5 + 8 = 13 larger than both 5 and 8

second part = difference

(a) 5 - 8 = (-3) negative value

(b) 5 - 5 = 0 zero

(c) (-5) - 3 = (-8) smaller than both -5 and 3

(d)(-5) - (-2)

     =(-5) + 2

    = (-3) larger than only -5

(e)  5 - (-2)

      =5 + 2

      =7 larger than both 5 and -32
