Statue of Unity is one of the most prominent Indian leaders, the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is remembered as the Iron Man of India. The Indian state is located in Gujarat, it is located at an altitude of 182 meters.
It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who came with the idea of building this huge building. He announced the creation of this statue in 2010 which marked his 10th year as Chief Minister of Gujarat. The construction of this architectural miracle, however, began later, in 2014. It took four years to bring it into shape. A large number of laborers and architects were employed to construct this statue.
PM Modi inaugurated it on October 31, 2018. The date chosen for the inauguration ceremony was special. It was Sardar Patel's 143th birth anniversary.
The statue has been built on a river island named Sadhu Bet, which is 3.5 kilometers below Narmada dam. It is divided into five zones. Of these, the public's access to only three areas. Around the beauty of this statue, four moans.
