Organ donation is a sacred thought as well as a noble action. Donating an organ after one's death is a way of giving back to the society. It is our parting gift and show of our gratitude to the humanity. We are not only doing a service to the humanity, but also being a model to our younger generation.

After my death I’ll no longer sense or feel anything. So my healthy vital organs like heart and eyes can help an ill fated person to live better. Doctors also advise the same.  So I’ll make it a point to donate organs.

A decade ago perhaps there were not enough facilities in India to preserve vital organs and replace them. Now medical science enables replacement of vital organs. Some people are blind faith or religious oriented and old fashioned. There are superstitions and misconceptions regarding organ donations. They prevail mostly among some people believing in rebirth, life after death and souls.

We should think objectively and nobly. There are many voluntary and other medical organizations now in India to handle organ donations. I’ll keep myself healthy and fit so that my organs are fit for transplantation. Liver, eyes, kidneys, pancreas, bones, bones marrow, skin etc. could all be donated. I imagine the light of hope in the family that may take my organs after death. I feel more determined to donate.

I just need to fill in and sign an organ donation form and keep it with my family or our next kin. That is the least I can do to this wonderful world.  I experience the beauty and pleasure of life. Posthumously I can let a needy person experience those pleasures.

      Live even after death.
Donate Happiness to a Family, with those having no value to you after death.
