I have always been captivated by theme parks. My dream came true when our class teacher announced that we would be going, to a nearby theme park the next day for the school picnic. Filled with excitement, I wasn’t even able to sleep in the night before the trip. I woke up early and quickly got dressed.
All students reached the school early in the morning and boarded the buses which would take us to the theme park. The excitement was visible on all of our faces. We sang songs and cracked jokes on our way to the location. There was a sudden roar in the bus as soon as we caught the first glimpse of the park from a distance. My friends and I already started deciding which rides we would try first.
The teachers asked us to form a queue at the entrance of the park and handed us all our entry tickets. As we entered the theme park, I was amazed at the sight of all the tall and huge rides. We got onto many thrilling rides like a merry-go-round, giant wheel etc., which left me with an excessive amount of adrenaline rush. The excitement had surpassed entirely the fear I had before getting into the ride.
At noon we were served a delicious lunch at the cafeteria located in the centre of the park. In a rush to get back to the rides, we gobbled our food, but the teacher instructed us to rest for a while as it is not advisable to go up on a ride just after having food. After lunch, we were given an ice-cream, which is my favourite.
As the day was coming to an end, we were asked to board the buses to head back to school. I was sad to leave the park but was equally tired by all the fun I had had during the whole day. The fun and thrilling rides made it a very memorable picnic for me.
