Then there was footsteps, loud clumsy footsteps, and then around the corner came a, dog.’ Everybody paused at the end of Sophie’s story, and then Jasmine and Olivia said ‘wow great story’ but Chloe didn’t say a word, she just sat silently staring at the ground. ‘Don’t you think so Chloe?’ said Jasmine, ‘oh yes of course’ replied Chloe. ‘Well you do know it’s not true, don’t you?’ said Sophie, ‘yeah it’s just my aunt lives in my grandma’s house, and my grandma passed away last year, and there's an old attic right at the end of her house, right near the room I sleep in when I visit, it always makes creepy sounds, and guess what? i’m going there this afternoon’, finished Chloe with a gulp.
That’s the bell let’s get back in class, in class we are learning to write narratives, and Sophie already knew what to write, she is writing about the story she told us at lunch. All of the girls knew what to write, Jasmine is writing about a lollipop land, and Olivia wrote a story about a lion and a mouse, and Chloe had no idea what to write. ‘That’s the bell lets walk home together’ suggested Jasmine, all the girls agreed, but no reply from Chloe.
As soon as they all got to Sophie’s house, they said goodbye to her and walked to Olivia’s house. When they got to Olivia’s house they said goodbye to her and Jasmine lives next door so Chloe then said goodbye to her and went to her aunts house where the attic is.
When she got to her aunt’s house she walked up to the front door and took a deep breath, and then knocked. Her aunt opened the door in a flash and cuddled her and said ‘hello my sweetie’ over and over again. Finally she let go and led her to the lounge room. Then she awkwardly turned the television on and fell fast asleep. So Chloe had a look around.
Chloe was looking for the attic, so she went towards her room and there she saw the attic next to her bedroom door. The door to the attic was wide open so she walked down the stairs. She walked in and she felt a shiver, then she heard footsteps. Then a book fell off the shelf, and a mosque flew around her and bit her on the arm. She then saw a door, so she opened it.
