Write a paragraph about your home

A home is a place of dwelling as well as mental satisfaction. Everyone wants a home of his/her own. I have a home on the other side of the river Buriganga. The area is called Chunkutia. It is not very far from Dhaka City. Though the area is very near to Dhaka, it is still backward. But the natural surrounding of it is very charming. In other words, I can say I live in the lap of nature. There is green everywhere around my home. It soothes my eyes. Whenever I go out of my home, I feel homesick. I get up from bed with the chirping sounds of the bird. There is no artificial sound except some natural sound created by different natural objects. Though my home lacks in modern amenities it is full of filial and fraternal love, care and affection. My home is enriched with the beauties and bounties of nature. Trees all around with fruits and flowers make me feel proud of my home. I live here with full satisfaction and peace of mind.
In a world that seeks perfection, I find that I confide in the comforts of the imperfections in my home. Though the chaos of our lives is never ending, the comfort of our home is there to greet us upon our arrival through the backdoor. The back entry way greets us with a pile of shoes along with a worn rug. You can hear the steady hum of laundry machines running as you slip your shoes off before continuing on to the true comforts within. The kitchen acts as our gathering place not just for family, but for friends as well. An expansive island has acted as a desk for homework and studying for years, yet also serves the best appetizers and meals to guests. The kitchen is home to my Mama's secret recipes and the 13 year old oven that has baked my birthday cake each and every year. There is something about continuity that really affirms the comforts in our home. The idea of being able to anticipate your surroundings, and the idea of it always being there, no matter what your day might have consisted of outside of the house is one of the biggest blessings. On days filled with craziness, sadness or happiness, I still await the moment when I arrive back to my happy place. My home filled with what truly makes me happy. My family. My pets. My memories. The game room has seen years of play from my siblings and me that has transformed over the years. The family room couches have been there to support the progression of movies from G, to PG, to R as we have grown older. The fuzzy blankets are neatly folded in a basket ready to be picked up for their daily use. The walls throughout are scuffed and the paint has become chipped and there are spots of dog slobber on the windows, but this is what shows the life lived within. The wear and tear on our house proves the blessing we have of being an active family. The nourishment our home provides us and others allows us to confide within ourselves and rejuvenate each and every day, so we are able to go out and be successful. Our house allows us to forget about our stresses, enjoy our joyous moments, and cry in the moments of despair which has taught me that we need to worry less about appearance and more about the intangible goods we invest into our lives. We must create a personal escape that holds items true to us, and our family name, thus our households family relics and antiques, as well as our own personal pieces. Our house is our home due to the memories we hold, the memories we make, and the memories we share and create within it and through this, we appreciate the imperfections which make us unique and make this place our own and our home.
